Mummy and Papa’s anniversary, now streaming on their TV
Collect their photos from every decade, build an OTT-style show on your phone, and send one private link home. They need no app and no account. They just tap and watch.
Free to build and preview. Premium is ₹199 once you share, live for 3 months.
Plan it in episodes
1. How It StartedThe rishta days, the first studio portraits and the photo where Papa still had all his hair.
2. The WeddingPhone scans of the wedding album: the baraat, the jaimala and relatives who looked a lot younger then.
3. Our TravelsThe honeymoon, the hill-station trips and every train journey with a steel tiffin for each meal.
4. Family MomentsYour birthdays, school annual days, Diwali pujas and the first car that carried all of you everywhere.
5. How It’s GoingRecent photos and videos, including the selfies Mummy takes from slightly below the chin.
6. Wishes From EveryoneShort video wishes from Chachu, Bua, the cousins and whichever sibling couldn’t fly home.
What to collect, and who to ask
Start with the old albums. Ask whoever lives nearest to Mummy and Papa to photograph the prints page by page in daylight, with the flash off so the plastic sleeves don’t glare. Wedding photos, the first home, all of you as babies. Do it while they’re out, obviously.
Then the phones. Make a WhatsApp group without your parents and ask Chachu, Bua, Mausi and the cousins for their best photos, plus one short video wish each. Thirty seconds is plenty. Set a deadline a week before the date, because someone will still send theirs on the morning of.
Premium gives you up to 10 episodes with 20 photos or videos each. That is room for 25 years without cutting the honeymoon.
Making it from abroad, or from another city
You don’t have to be home to pull this off. You build the whole show on your phone, wherever you are: Toronto, Dubai or Bengaluru. Photos are optimised in your browser before they upload, so a big album goes up even on mobile data.
Start free. The preview lets you build an episode with up to 10 photos or videos and see exactly how it plays. When you’re happy, pay once in rupees through Razorpay (UPI, cards, netbanking or wallets) and you get one private link, with a WhatsApp share and a QR code.
Send it to the family WhatsApp group, or only to the sibling who will be in the room with them. Mummy and Papa need no app and no account. It opens in the browser on a phone, laptop, tablet or smart TV.
How to reveal it on the day
Treat it like a premiere. The show goes live when you pay and its 3 months start then, so pay a few days before the anniversary, finish the remaining episodes, and keep the link to yourself. On the evening, the sibling at home opens it on the TV, picks Mummy on the “Who’s watching?” screen and lets the intro roll.
Send the link to the family group at the same moment, so everyone abroad can watch along on their phones. Time it for their evening, not yours. Nobody wants a 3 am surprise.
Add a password if you like. Guests enter it once on each device, and it keeps the show in the family even when Bua forwards it to her kitty group.
One show, one ticket
Most of these fit Premium: 10 episodes, 20 per episode. Pay once, live for 3 months.
